Most framers on this island take your piece, ship it to a production facility in another borough, and quote you two weeks. We cut the moulding, join the corners, cut the mat, clean the glass and fit the piece here at 1322 3rd Avenue.
That is the entire trick. There is no queue in another state, so a straightforward job — a poster, a diploma, a photograph, a standard-size canvas — can genuinely be finished while you have a coffee nearby.
What takes longer: museum glass orders in unusual sizes, deep shadow boxes for dimensional objects, conservation mounting of fragile originals, and super-sized frames. For those we give you a firm date and stick to it.
How It Works
Three steps, one visit
Bring It In
Any size, any condition, no appointment. We are open seven days a week — Monday to Friday until 7pm, Saturday until 6:30pm and Sunday until 5pm.
We Design With You
Choose from over 500 mouldings and a full wall of mats. We will show you two or three honest directions at different price points and explain what conservation glass actually buys you.
Walk Out Framed
Simple pieces in about an hour. Larger commissions get a firm collection date, plus free pickup, delivery and installation anywhere in Manhattan.
